Orphan Care Program

Orphaned and neglected children are the world’s most vulnerable population. According to UNICEF, the world’s orphan population is approximately 153 million.

At Moms Against Poverty, we are committed to transforming the lives of these often-traumatized children by nurturing them with the love and individual attention they deserve. Through our Orphan Care Program, we ensure that every child builds self-confidence, joy, productivity, and empowerment.

We support and operate children’s homes with comprehensive programs that foster personal responsibility and promote community values. Additionally, we renovate orphanages that lack essential funding and resources to adequately provide for the children in their care. Most importantly, we continue to fund orphanages we build or renovate, have established a few orphanages throughout Iran, and run our own foster care program in Senegal.

In 2022:

  • Overall we supported and housed over 1,628 orphans.
  • In Iran, we established and aided 2 new orphanages and continued to aid 16 more in provinces across the country.
  • In Senegal, we helped 28 impoverished children at a rural orphanage.
*These are only a few of the many things we accomplished in 2022. Please stay tuned for our 2022 Annual Report to learn more!
