Help the Afghan Children

Rokhshana School - Kabul, Afghanistan.

Help the Afghan Children is committed to helping create a vibrant Afghan educational system that helps prepare Afghan children for the challenges ahead. HTAC believes that only through an investment in education can Afghanistan break the vicious cycle of war, poverty, poor health conditions, and civil unrest that has plagued this country for almost 30 years. That is why Help the Afghan Children exists

Moms Against Poverty is collaborating with Help the Afghan Children is establishing an all-girl's school in Kabul Afghanistan. Although Rokhshana is officially considered a high school, classes are also offered for primary and middle grades - which is very typical of many Afghan schools because resources to build separate primary, middle, and high schools are so scarce. Student population is about 4,000 and there are slightly over 100 teachers.
