In a small rural village in Iran, Setareh’s future seemed predetermined. At just eight years old, she was pulled from school and forced into child labor to help her family survive. But thanks to efforts like the Annual SoCal Benefit Gala, Setareh regained access to education and health care. Today, she is growing and giving back to her community—proof that collective action can break the cycle of poverty.
