Moms Against Poverty is a global 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to lessen the incidence and effects of poverty for impoverished children around the world. This is achieved through our Education, Health Care & Wellness, Hunger Relief & Basic Provisions, and Orphan Care programs, enabling children to reach their fullest potential.

They are involved in various activities, including fundraising, organizing events, packaging food, and participating in the Vital Rescue Collective program, among other initiatives. We are always looking for passionate and skilled individuals to enhance our team and drive our efforts further.

Can you provide examples of your organization's impact on communities?
Moms Against Poverty has made significant impacts on communities globally. In 2023, we built 94 educational facilities and provided food security, health care, and education to over 150,000 children and families. Specific examples of our work include constructing new schools and healthcare centers in Iran, providing meals to students in Senegal, bringing food and nutrition to children and families in the US, supporting orphanages in the Philippines, and improving the lives of vulnerable children across these regions. Can Moms Against Poverty legally send funds to Iran under the current sanctions?
Moms Against Poverty maintains two OFAC licenses (one General License, one Specific License) from the U.S. Department of the Treasury for humanitarian purposes and can collect tax-exempt donations to support our ongoing relief efforts and our other projects involving schools, orphanages and other humanitarian related activities in Iran.

How does Moms Against Poverty operate in Iran?
Moms Against Poverty has created an Iran-facing sister organization, Nikgaman Jamshid Charity, for the purpose of implementing our projects in Iran. Nikgaman and our teams work closely to manage all of our projects in Iran on behalf of Moms Against Poverty and our donors.
How does Moms Against Poverty send funds to Iran?
Moms Against Poverty continues to use legal channels for transfer of funds raised in the U.S. to Nikgaman Jamshid Charity in compliance with OFAC rules and regulations.
