Expanding Access to Early Childhood Education in Rural Iran

Moms Against Poverty, in collaboration with Nikgaman Jamshid, is establishing pre-school centers (Mahd Roosta) in 100 impoverished, rural, and remote villages of Iran. These communities are carefully selected based on critical educational and developmental needs.

Why These Pre-School Centers Are Essential

In many of these villages, life revolves around farming and livestock herding, with most residents living in severe poverty. Young children often spend their days on farms with their parents, while older siblings may work instead of attending school. School-aged children must travel to nearby towns for education, causing many to fall behind academically.

These Mahd Roosta Pre-School Centers provide a safe and nurturing learning environment where children can:

  • Receive early childhood education to prepare for elementary school.
  • Have access to hot meals in a structured, caring setting.
  • Be cared for by trained teachers while their parents work to support their families.

Help Us Build More Pre-School Centers

With a $5,500 sponsorship, you can give the gift of early education to children in need. Sponsors will receive a personalized name plaque at the center in recognition of their support.

Upon establishment, the centers remain under the care of Moms Against Poverty, with teacher salaries and meal costs covered by village social services.

Donate Now to support early education in impoverished villages.
