Postponement Notice:
Dear Community,
We regret to inform you of the nonprofit gala postponement for our 6th Annual Southern California Benefit Gala, originally scheduled for April 18, 2020. This decision has not been made lightly. It comes in response to growing concerns surrounding COVID-19 and our deep commitment to the health and safety of our guests, staff, volunteers, and vendors.
As an organization built on compassion, care, and global support, Moms Against Poverty believes that postponing this event is the most responsible action we can take at this time.
Following COVID-19 event updates and closely monitoring local and national public health guidelines, we determined that continuing with the event as scheduled could place our community at unnecessary risk. Your wellness is our top priority.
We understand how much many of you were looking forward to the evening—coming together, celebrating our mission, and supporting a cause greater than ourselves. Your support, time, and generosity are invaluable, and we are so grateful to every person who made plans to attend or contributed toward this special night.
While we cannot confirm a new date yet, we are actively monitoring the situation and will announce an update as soon as it’s safe and appropriate. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this charity event rescheduling may have caused and thank you for your understanding and patience.
We are eager to share a beautiful night with you in the future—one filled with love, laughter, and purpose.
We are thrilled to share that, thanks to your incredible generosity, the gala was officially sold out before this Southern California charity gala postponed due to COVID-19. Every ticket purchased and every donation made will go toward furthering Against Poverty’s mission of helping underserved communities both in the U.S. and globally.
Please note: Tickets will not be available at the door, and we appreciate your ongoing support and trust as we navigate these changes.
Even though we cannot gather in person just yet, our work does not stop. In fact, during these times, it becomes more critical. Moms Against Poverty continues to provide emergency relief and support to vulnerable communities. Your past and continued support enables us to reach even more families in need.
This is just one example of how nonprofits handle event postponements during a pandemic—by balancing public health with the need to stay connected and continue our mission.
Thank you once again for your kindness and patience. We look forward to celebrating with you soon and wish you a safe and joyful Norooz.
*Tickets will not be available for sale at the door | All proceeds benefit Moms Against Poverty´s charitable activities.
Thanks to the support of our community we have reached our goal and we are sold out!
