Happy 2016!

We are excited for another year of transforming children’s lives and investing in their future. This year marks Moms Against Poverty’s 8th year of operation. Founded in 2008 as a grassroots, volunteer-based organization, we began with no seed funding—just a passion and commitment to ending child poverty.

Our Mission & Growth

Moms Against Poverty was created with three key goals:

• Develop holistic programs that provide education and resources to lift children out of poverty.
• Build a global community of donors and volunteers, uniting diverse cultures through philanthropy.
• Ensure financial sustainability, maintaining transparency and fiscal responsibility for future generations.

Our journey began with a small fundraising event in a renovated warehouse—raising $60,000 to fund our first programs. Since then, thanks to your generosity, our organization has nearly doubled in revenue each year, allowing us to expand our impact worldwide.

Our Achievements Over the Past 7 Years

• We have developed sustainable programs that empower children through education, vocational training, and economic development.
• We have built a strong global network of donors and volunteers, bringing people together through impactful fundraising events.
• We have maintained a low overhead of just 3-4% and are undergoing a self-audit to ensure the efficiency and reliability of our processes.

Plans for 2016 – Expanding Our Impact

This year, we are committed to:

• Expanding our U.S. Nutrition Outreach Program, providing food to thousands of children facing food insecurity.
• Building over 50 preschool daycare and education centers in remote villages of Iran, offering vital early childhood education.
• Growing our Vocational Training Center in Kerman, Iran, empowering special-needs children with skills for independence.
• Opening our first private orphanage in Kerman, Iran, with generous support from the Tahbazof Family.
• Expanding our Education Outreach Program in Cambodia, equipping children with the skills they need for higher education and employment.
• Launching five additional Learning Centers in India, delivering quality education to children in slum communities.
• Constructing five new Computer Centers in India, providing children with the tools to secure sustainable jobs.
• Building a second school in Senegal, giving children access to education in underserved areas.
• Developing a Learning Center in Sierra Leone, helping street children access quality education.
• Providing critical shelter and essential resources for vulnerable children in the Gardinia Community, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

Growing Our Operations

As Moms Against Poverty expands, we are committed to maintaining fiscal responsibility while keeping operating costs low. In 2016, we will:

• Seek Donor Sponsorship Programs to fund operations.
• Host Special Fundraising Events to increase community support.
• Apply for Operations and Service Grants to sustain our work.
