We are deeply grateful for your continued support. Your generosity made it possible for Moms Against Poverty to expand our mission across the globe in 2018, touching thousands of lives. From school construction to emergency relief, this year’s work reflects your compassion in action.
Our Moms Against Poverty global education and hunger programs aim to break the cycle of poverty by investing in schools, literacy, vocational training, and cultural development. In 2018, you helped us:
Build our 7th school in Ney, Kurdistan and our 2nd library in Toolash, Ardabil, Iran
Begin construction on 13 new schools across rural Iran
Establish 22 new preschools (Roostamahd)—bringing the total to 72
Operate vocational centers in Kerman and Bushehr, Iran
Expand programs in San Francisco (Bryant Center), Hawaii (HAAS workplace readiness), and Senegal (4 schools)
Install generators in 16 Sierra Leone schools, serving 5,500 students
Grow our Cambodia school programs, adding daycare, coding, sewing, and weaving courses
This broad expansion shows how Moms Against Poverty helped children and families worldwide in 2018 with tangible results.
Your support brought nourishment and dignity to children across continents. In 2018, Moms Against Poverty:
Supported thousands of children in the U.S. through our Nutrition & Hygiene Programs
Partnered with 6 new centers in Oakland, San Francisco, and Philadelphia
Worked with Lava Mae and the Sufi Center Committee in NM
Delivered 2,000+ toys, gift cards, and food through our Holiday Helping Hand project
Provided meals to children in Senegal, Guatemala, and Mexico
Supplied aid to victims of the Camp Fire, Hurricane Florence, and Hurricane Michael
These efforts highlight Moms Against Poverty’s commitment to child poverty relief nonprofit impact across borders.
In 2018, your compassion supported vulnerable children without families. We:

Following the 2018 earthquake in Kermanshah, we:
Delivered 1,000 winter coats and food baskets to affected families
Built 2 health clinics and 5 preschools
In 2017, provided 50 tons of relief, 4 mobile clinics, and 150 heater/AC units
These efforts underscore our long-term commitment to Moms Against Poverty’s earthquake response and orphan care progress.
Thanks to you, 2018 was a year of incredible progress. Let’s build on this momentum to bring hope, health, and opportunity to even more children in 2019.
Together, we can do even more.
