Overview
Moms Against Poverty is a global non-profit charitable organization with the mission to nurture and educate impoverished children to their fullest potential, so that one day they can contribute and lead within their own communities and break the cycle of poverty. Our work is holistically minded, advancing communities one program at a time toward well-being and self-sufficiency.
Our army of volunteers, who dedicate their time, resources, generosity, and enthusiasm to Moms Against Poverty, are the glue that holds our organization together. They help us to fundraise, organize and execute events, drive social media engagement, and coordinate our many programs that benefit so many children and families around the world. We are now searching for a Volunteer Coordinator to manage this growing army and maximize their potential.
Your role will be to coordinate the volunteers and match them to the needs of the Moms Against Poverty team as well as work with our surrounding schools to determine additional volunteer opportunities. This requires the ability to evaluate skill sets, resources, and availability of volunteers, assess how best they can assist, assign them to various tasks, and track and report on their activities.
This hourly position (15-20 hours per week) will be mainly out of Moms Against Poverty’s Burlingame, CA office and will report to the CEO of Moms Against Poverty. This is an exciting opportunity to join an amazing team!
