Our Hunger Relief and Basic Provisions program plays a vital role in ensuring children and families in need across the United States have access to essential resources.

We are a lean yet passionate team of dedicated individuals working tirelessly to fulfill our mission. As we expand our programs to serve more communities, we are seeking a detail-oriented and committed US Programs Coordinator to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to shape MAP’s programs and make a tangible difference in the lives of children and families in need.

Position Summary:

The US Programs Coordinator will help provide strategic leadership for MAP’s hunger relief and basic provisions programs. This role involves collaborating with the US Programs Manager and other team members to develop policies, manage daily operations, co-manage budgets, and evaluate program impact to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Reporting to the US Programs Manager, the Coordinator will supervise volunteers, manage partnerships, and represent MAP in mid-level donor and community engagements. This role requires independent decision-making to foster program growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning:
    o Develop and implement program policies, procedures, and standards to ensure efficiency and compliance.
    o Conduct market research and community needs assessments to identify opportunities for program expansion.
    o Collaborate with leadership to set program goals and evaluate progress toward objectives.
  • Program Oversight:
    o Lead the planning and execution of food and basic provisions distribution events, ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
    o Supervise and train volunteers and program staff to maintain high standards of service delivery.
    o Oversee inventory management and ensure alignment with organizational policies.
  • Partnership Development:
    o Build strategic partnerships with food banks, suppliers, and community organizations.
    o Negotiate agreements with partners to secure resources and expand MAP’s reach.
  • Program Evaluation and Reporting:
    o Analyze program data and prepare comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders.
    o Develop and present strategic recommendations to leadership for program enhancements.
  • Budget and Resource Management:
    o Manage program budgets, including expense tracking and ensuring alignment with financial goals.
    o Approve expenditures and recommend resource allocation to optimize impact.
  • Communication and Representation:
    o Represent MAP in meetings with partners, donors, and stakeholders.
    o Collaborate with the marketing team to share program achievements and impact stories.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience or program coordination in a nonprofit or related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage programs, budgets, and teams.
  • Proven ability to evaluate program performance and recommend improvements.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with inventory management systems and/or software.
  • Ability to participate in physical activities related to program logistics if needed.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary: $72,000-$75,000 annually based on experience with the potential for growth.
  • Paid Time Off (PTO): 17.5 days annually.
  • Holidays: 10 paid federal holidays.
  • Health Insurance: Offered to employees.
