Overview

Moms Against Poverty is a tax exempt, non-profit, charitable organization with the mission to nurture and educate impoverished children to their fullest potential, so that one day they can contribute and lead within their own communities and break the cycle of poverty. Our work is holistically minded, advancing communities one program at a time toward well-being and self-sufficiency.

Our success depends on strong program management. We’re currently searching for an experienced program manager to join our team and continue that success. The ideal candidate will be proactive, have a sharp business mind and a proven ability to strategize and implement program initiatives. You will have a strong talent for project coordination and delegation. Your inter-personal skills will enable you to seamlessly work with partners in the U.S., Iran, Cambodia, Senegal, and other regions in the world where Moms Against Poverty has a presence.  Ultimately, you are motivated by the desire to nurture program success from inception to completion.

This position will be based in our Burlingame, CA office and reports to the CEO of Moms Against Poverty.

Objectives of this Role

  • Strategize, implement, and maintain program initiatives that adhere to organizational objectives
  • Develop program assessment protocols for evaluation and improvement
  • Maintain organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance
  • Oversee multiple projects, ensuring program goals are reached
  • Manage budget and funding channels for maximum productivity and efficiency

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience working in the non-profit field, preferably for a charitable organization
  • 5+ years in a program management role (preference given to those with program management experience)
  • Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate and work across all levels of the organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual in Farsi and English
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
  • Proven proposal writing experience
  • Strong technical skills with proficiency in business software products


Salary: 
$72,000 annually
