Moms Against Poverty’s Earthquake Relief Efforts in Kermanshah

Following the devastating earthquake in Kermanshah, Iran, Moms Against Poverty has been actively providing emergency relief and long-term reconstruction support to affected families. With your help, we are making a lasting impact on thousands of lives.

Emergency Relief Efforts

  • 15 tons of food, clothing, hygiene products, and essential supplies were distributed to families in need.
  • Four mobile health clinics were purchased, fully equipped, and deployed in the most devastated areas.
  • 150 heating units were distributed to families living in tents and temporary shelters to help them survive the cold.

Long-Term Reconstruction & Recovery

  • An art therapy program was held for over 300 children, helping them process trauma. Their artwork was displayed in a gallery exhibit in Tehran to raise awareness.
  • Construction of two health clinics and an Occupational & Physical Therapy Center has begun.
  • Ten Kindergarten/Day Schools are under construction, providing children with safe and stable learning environments. Due to the scale of devastation, we have been asked to build 20 schools, but current funding allows us to commit to 10 for now.
